ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 10 oz. (248g) Ghirardelli melting wafers (dark, milk, or white chocolate)
glass bowl of crushed Oreo cookies

  1. 1. Crush Oreo cookies into tiny pieces and crumbs (you can use a food processor if you have one, but if not, you can use a plastic bag and crushing them with your hands works fine too).
  2. 2. Set aside 2 tbsp. of Oreo cookie crumbs to add to the tops of the truffles, or just measure with your heart!
  3. 3. Add the rest of the Oreo cookie crumbs to a bowl with the softened cream cheese and stir it all together.
    • If you're feeling really fancy, you can beat the cream cheese in a mixer with a paddle attachment until it's smooth and creamy before adding in the cookie pieces!
  4. 4. Roll the Oreo/cream cheese mixture into 1 inch balls (or again, just measure with your heart!) and place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Freeze these for at least 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Heat the chocolate in the microwave until it's melted, stirring occasionally. But not for too long or it'll burn!
  6. 6. Coat the Oreo balls with the melted chocolate and garnish thee tops with the extra cookie crumbs while the chocolate is still melty.
  7. 7. You can store these in the fridge for up to two weeks.
